Broiled Flank Steak and Pan Seared Asparagus

  • Flank Steak
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Bundle of Asparagus
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix EVOO, Lemon Juice, Minced Garlic and salt together.  Place all ingredients and flank steak in a large freezer bag and marinate.  (You can let it sit in the fridge or simply mix everything together in the freezer bag and broil right away.)
  2. Set oven to Broil on High.  Place foil over baking sheet and place marinated flank steak on top.  Broil for 15 minutes.
  3. For Asparagus, heat pan on medium heat.  At EVOO to pan then place asparagus on pan.  Squeeze lemon juice over asparagus and lightly salt.  Pan Sear for 7 minutes, mix around occasionally.
